Aia Vecchia, established by the Pellegrini family in 1996, is situated between Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci in Tuscany, Italy. The winery's name derives from an old building on their property, which became the symbol of the estate. With the assistance of renowned Hungarian winemaker Tibor Gál and agronomist Daniel Schuster, the family replanted their vineyards with Bordeaux grape varieties imported directly from France. Their inaugural wine, 'Lagone,' was released in 1998, marking the beginning of their production of high-quality Super Tuscan blends. The estate's favorable microclimate, characterized by abundant sunlight and sea breezes, contributes to the production of their acclaimed wines.
