G.D. Vajra, established in 1971 by Aldo Vajra, is a family-run winery located in Vergne, the highest village in the Barolo region of Piedmont, Italy. Aldo's journey into winemaking began in 1968 when, as a rebellious 15-year-old, he was sent to his grandparents' farm in Barolo, where he developed a passion for viticulture. The winery was among the first in Piedmont to adopt organic farming practices, reflecting a deep respect for the land and sustainable agriculture.
