Poderi Luigi Einaudi was established in 1897 by Luigi Einaudi, who later became the first democratically elected President of Italy. At just 23, he purchased the San Giacomo farm in Dogliani, marking the beginning of a legacy that seamlessly blended political leadership with a passion for viticulture. Despite his extensive political duties, Einaudi was known for never missing a harvest season, underscoring his deep connection to the land. Today, the estate spans approximately 150 hectares, with 75 hectares dedicated to vineyards, producing esteemed wines from regions like Dogliani, Barolo, Monforte d'Alba, Verduno, and Neive.
