Darroze is a family house based in Roquefort in the Bas Armagnac region, established when Francis Darroze began ageing and bottling eaux de vie himself in the early 1970s. His son Marc, trained as an oenologist, developed the business into a house known for single estate and vintage Armagnacs, assembling collections from top terroirs. Over the decades the family has built a collection of more than 250 Armagnacs across many vintages, and the house created the Grands Assemblages range to highlight complementary eaux de vie. The company operates a visitor space and cellars at its Roquefort address where tastings and tours are offered, and the Darroze name is also linked with chef Hélene Darroze through family ties and culinary collaborations.
