This Pinot Noir comes from vineyards on the Pochi hill near Salorno in Alto Adige and shows a garnet red color. On the nose it offers complex, ethereal aromas of cherry, red currant and small wild berries with a hint of spice. The palate is dry and full framed by pleasant, silky tannins and a slightly bitter finish that keeps the wine fresh. It is made with traditional red vinification at a controlled temperature around 25 degrees Celsius with frequent remontage and punching down. The wine receives partial aging in small oak barrels for about ten months which adds gentle structure and subtle oak notes while preserving the fruit.
