About the grape

Sangiovese, whose name translates to "blood of Jupiter," is a red grape variety deeply rooted in Italy, particularly in Tuscany. In the mid-19th century, Clemente Santi of Montalcino identified a superior clone of Sangiovese, known as Sangiovese Grosso or Brunello, which led to the creation of Brunello di Montalcino wines.
